On September 12th, 2009, the phpSugar team released PHP Melody 1.6. We’re pleased to introduce our latest release. We consider PHP Melody 1.6 to be a great release and a big leap forward. This new release comes with a complete article manager which makes it a true CMS. Among the most important features, we’re proud to mention PHP Melody’s ability to embed any sort of video or audio and the 38 new video sources from where you can import videos directly.
Existing valid customers can log into the customer area and download the full package or just upgrade to 1.6.

The previous release was 1.5.3 however since this is an upgrade and not an update PHP Melody changed digits from 1.5.x to 1.6.
